Sharing For Christmas Charity Giveaway Event Sponsor Spotlight Vamplets
Vamplets are soft, stuffed, and slightly cuddly (watch out they bite!) baby Vampyres that you can adopt! They may look sweet and innocent, but beneath that sweet exterior is a blood sucking machine. How cute are these little guys and gals? Teeny Tiny Vampyres who drink baby bottles of blood?! It may be my love all of things slightly Halloween related and weird but I think these little guys are absolutely adorable.
Willow received Evilyn Nocturna as her new adopter baby. According to her warning label, she is "slightly off and a bit mad. This is due to her visionary powers. She can see the future, has visions and waking dreams. Since she is psychic she can guess your every move. This is a warning! Full body armor is suggested at all times for she would rather take a sip from you than her bottle. She tends to sleepwalk. You must lock her securely in her coffin before each sunrise thus preventing her destruction by the sun's harmful rays."
Willow and Evilyn are definatly the best of friends now and I'm happy to report that Evilyn has kept her fangs to herself so far. Willow and Evilyn enjoy trips to the park on gloomy days. Now the park isn't exactly the first place that a baby Vampyre would like to play at, but our local park is directly across from and owned by the local funeral home, so I think Evilyn feels at home.
Vamplets would make a great holiday gift for the child in your life (teens and adults would love a Vamplet too!) You can adopt a Vamplet of your own for $19.95. Make sure to pick up a bottle or two of blood just in case! You can find them in the accessories section for $5.95.
We're excited to announce that Vamplets will be sponsoring our Sharing For Christmas Giveaway Event, and during the hop one lucky Life Unexpected: Adventures of a SAHM reader will win a Vlad Von Gloom Vamplet and disappearing blood bottle of their very own!Check back during the Sharing For Christmas Giveaway Hop November 8-14 to enter to win this and other great prizes!
Back to our regularly scheduled programing
Sorry that I've been slightly MIA lately. Things have been a bit crazy. Willow's pediatrician recommended her for hearing evaluation along with speech therapy so I've been spending my days arranging appointments and taking her to the local children's hospital to see an Audiologist. She saw the Audiologist last Wednesday and passed with flying colors. They inserted an instrument into her ear to check the vibrations like they do in the newborn hearing test as well as put us in a sound proof booth with various speakers that they set off with different sounds at different volumes to see how and if she would respond. I guess she just chooses to ignore me, but it's reassuring to know that she can actually hear.
Our next stop is the speech therapist on Wednesday to see if we can get her to start talking. Life would be so much easier if she could properly communicate instead of yelling at us all the time. It must be frustrating to know what you want to say but not be able to get it out. I'm hoping to see a big improvement over the next few months.
Now that things are starting to get back to normal, I'll be getting some more reviews and giveaways up for you over the next few days so don't miss out on your chance to win! Remember to check the Current Open Giveaways link on the right sidebar to see what you could be winning!

A little Pinsperation
So like a lot of other ladies I've jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon. I know that Halloween is tomorrow, but I'm already starting to get into the Christmas spirit. Here are some of the things that I've pinned onto my holiday boards that Willow and I will be trying out in the next few weeks.
Wreath in pinks, purple, and greens for the girls' room |
paint in glass balls for the kids tree |
White Chocolate dipped marshmallow pops |
Gingerbread house, North Pole cupcakes and Christmas cookies |

My Ubby Custom Blankets Review and Giveaway ends 11/7
Myubby.com produces made to order custom blankets. Each unique baby blanket or adult throw
is built to your specifications out of the finest, softest material
available. My Ubby prides themselves on producing a quality product, and they
guarantee your satisfaction.
By using their specialized ubby blanket builder, you can choose from more than 50 unique ubby fabric styles and color/print options, 12 poly satin edging colors or stitch options and, of course, custom ubby personalization features and add-ons.
Building an Ubby is so much fun! There are so many different options to choose from that Zach (Daddy) and I went back and forth for over an hour on what fabric we wanted for the girls' Ubby. Ultimately I let him choose since I'm always the one who gets to pick our review items. He chose a two-sided Original Ubby (35" x 45") with Marshmallow Swirly and Bubbles Lilac material. He finished it off with Blush satin edging, and the inscription in using the Feather font in pink. We decided to make one blanket for the twins to share (since they share a crib) and had it inscribed with their names and birthdate "Ella Elizabeth Madeline Quinn June 1, 2011".
Can I just say how in love I am with this blanket? When it arrived I didn't even want to give it to them, it's so soft that I just wanted to keep it for myself. It's the perfect weight, not too thin and not heavy enough to make them hot. Although we don't let the girls sleep with blankets for SIDS reasons, big sister Willow has tried it out and says it's "fine" (Fine is her new favorite word, trust me it's a good thing!). Ella and Madeline have used it on the floor for tummy time and really seem to enjoy it. Plus it looks super cute hanging over the railing on their crib.
A My Ubby would make a great gift for any new or expectant mother. How sweet would it be to receive a blanket for Christmas with your new baby's Name, birth date, and birth stats listed on it? It would defiantly be a blanket to keep in the memory box after it's done with it's years of love. Bigger kids and adults would love an Ubby too, everyone loves a good blanket and your little one will love designing it themselves.

TruKid Body Care Review and Giveaway ends 10/31
Tru Kids products are natural and completely chemical freenon-toxic body, hair and skin
care products for kids including sunscreen, soaps, moisturizers, face
and body wash, shampoos, lip balms, and more. But what sets them apart even more than then other products, is their philosophy. TruKids strives
to impact the world one healthy habit at a time. Through rhymes, songs,
facts and more, they provide the tools your family can use to start
forming healthy habits the fun way.
TruKids Bubbly Body Wash is a lightly scented mild coconut derived cleanser. This is a mild, safe cleanser for skin that effectively removes surface oil, and dirt without stripping or drying sensitive skin. The best part is all of the bubbles! A couple squirts of Bubbly Body Wash creates tons of bubbles. Willow loves using the pump to squirt a few drops on to her bath sponge and watch it suds up. I love that the back lists all of the ingredients in scientific terms as well as plain terms. You know exactly what you're putting on your child.

TruKid Sport SPF 30 Sunscreen
TruKid's Sport SPF 30 Sunscreen is water resistant and fragrance free. We put the sunscreen to the ultimate test when we took the girls to Disney's Animal Kingdom for the day. Willow has extremely pale skin and is prone to burning so I'm always looking for a sunscreen that can meet our needs. I applied the sunscreen to Willow before we left for the park (Ella and Madeline are to young for sunscreen) and once while at the park and was really pleased that we were able to spend an entire day in the sun with no sunburn! I did find it to be a bit thicker than most sunscreens so it took a little longer to fully rub it in and avoid the white streaks that sunscreen can leave.
Our Overall Opinion
I love that TruKids makes products that are actually safe for my children to use and do not hide their ingredients. Everything is written in plain term so that you can choose what you put on your child's body and there are no surprises. We were very pleased with their products and would definitely purchase them for our children.

Are you tired of dark under eye circles making you appear
tired all the time? Despite what most people think, deep, dark circles and bags
under your eyes are not primarily caused by being tired or stressed. Dermatologists
and plastic surgeons agree that dark under eye circles are caused by
capillaries that leak blood close the skin's surface. When the blood oxidizes
it turns blue and shows through the thin skin under the eyes. Over time this
discoloration can be permanent.

The Weekend From Hell
These children are crazy. Ella and Madeline are teething so they scream ALL day. If I get one to stop then the other starts. Willow didn't start teething until 10 months, never cried and broke her first tooth on Halloween without me even knowing it. These two are completely different, their teeth are starting to poke up and they're only 4 months the only thing they want is to be held and I only have 2 hands but 3 kids who need me.
While holding Madeline yesterday Willow got into my SIL's nail polish (we live with family) and painted her dog. Yes painted. Geoffrey is so humiliated that he will not sit still for pictures but I reassure you that he has at least 12 different colors of nail polish in his fur right now.
We went to the grocery store last night for what was supposed to be a quick trip. First we got distracted by this 80+ year old woman who looked at me and said "Oh you have twins, you poor poor thing" While I held back my urge to yell obscenities at the old witch Ella decided it was the perfect time to poop in her carseat. Not just poop but "poop soup" as we liked to call it at the preschool. One huge blow out all in her carseat. Did I mention we don't have a washer yet? I've been toting laundry back and forth to the laundry mat or my mother's and neither was an option at almost 10pm. So I washed the carseat cover in the bathtub with hot water and a 1/4 cap of tide. Swishing it back and forth and wringing it out while Willow screamed at me that she wasn't sleeping in her own bed and tried to toss blankets and clothes in the tub with the poop soup.
This morning while trying to clean the disaster Willow left in the toy room she went in her room to read some books. I should have known that she was being too quiet because I walked in to find every last one of her sisters' onesies, pants, pajamas and blankets dumped out, trash can knocked over and bed stripped.
After cleaning that up I came back out into the living room to find that Willow had taken it upon herself to feed the babies. I'm so glad that I've taught her to share, but pineapple yougurt is not exactly the thing I want her sharing with the babies. Especially since they're 4 1/2 months old and have not had any solid food yet (waiting until 6 months). Well I guess they have now, but I don't think they got too much. Judging by Madeline's face they didn't like it too much.
It's only 2pm on Saturday and I'm ready to go to sleep and give up on this weekend already.

Bloggers Want to Get Paid to Tweet?
Are you a blogger who is looking for a way to monetize your blog or social media accounts? Sponsored Tweets would be a great option for you! All you have to do is sign up with Sponsored Tweets and watch the offers come in. It really is that easy! You set your own price per tweet, and sponsored tweets even gives you a suggested price per tweet for those of you like myself who are clueless as to what your pricing should be. (I thought around $0.20 per tweet and my suggested price is actually $1.46! Talk about short changing yourself!) The more followers you have the more money there is to make in tweeting, but don't worry if you have a lower following the only requirement is a twitter account over 3 months old, and more than 100 followers.
Worried about what you'll be tweeting out? Don't be! You accept or deny all offers and you actually write the tweet yourself with the help of a prompt and required hash tags etc. It's really simple and a great way to bring a little extra cash in. You work hard blogging and building your social media connections, why not reward yourself for all your hard work!

I may be a little crazy...
Tomorrow we are attempting our first all day trip with all 3 of the girls. We'll be adventuring to Animal Kingdom and I'm already stressing out about how we'll possibly handle this. We'll have a double stroller, single stroller, 2 diaper bags, cooler with bottles and snacks for Willow, 2 teething infants and a toddler to drag through the park. Let's see if I survive, I'm sure I'll have some fun stories to share!
Scentsy Review and Giveway ends 10/15
Until I had kids I loved candles. I always had at least one
burning somewhere in the house. Then I had Willow and realized just how unsafe
it was to have open flames in the home. One wrong move and she could catch the
house on fire or seriously injure herself. So to keep my family safe away the
candles went. Honestly having 3 kids in diapers I’ve started to notice a bit of
a funk no matter how often I take the trash out, something that regular air fresheners
just couldn’t fix. Just when I thought I was doomed to have stinky rooms
forever I was introduced to Scentsy by Barbara Leef.
Scentsy is a wax warmer system that uses a low wattage light
bulb to melt the scented wax cubes. With
dozens of warmers and over 80 different scents to choose from there’s something
for everyone. Plug in warmers are perfect for bathrooms and small areas, midsize warmers are great for bedrooms and full size warmers are great for covering larger areas like living
rooms and kitchens. Scentsy also offers
a variety of other products including Scentsy Buddies for kids, scent circles
for your car and solid perfumes.

Lovable Labels Halloween Pack Review & Giveaway ends 10/9
As you all know from my review of the Back to School labelpack, I’m a huge Lovable Label fan. So I
was super excited to receive a Halloween Pack for review. The Halloween pack contains 30 black and
orange labels feature an adorably spooky black cat and skull & crossbones
design. They say “Happy Halloween! From:
________” and you can insert your child’s or family’s name.
We’re a 3 last name
household so we chose to have our labels say Happy Halloween From: The Babies, because
the girls will be sending Halloween cake pops and other goodies to Daddy’s work
and family friends. This 30 label pack is the perfect way to send your little
ones goodie bags for classmates to preschool or send Halloween treats to
Grandma and Grampa! Your little ones will love having their own personalized
treats to send to their loved ones.

A Day of Firsts
Today is Ella and Madeline's 4 month birthday. Florida has it's first "cold" day of the year with temperatures in the 70's, and the girls fit into 3-6 month clothing for the first time today, so they wore jeans for the first time ever! Since it was such an unseasonably nice day and Daddy didn't have to work until the afternoon, they also took their first trip to the park!
4 moths ago today I gave birth to these two teeny tiny babies
And today I have these two chunky monkey big girls!
