I'm a Nuby Mommy Blogger

I'm really excited to announce that I was chosen to be a Nuby Mommy Blogger! Over the next few months I'll be working closely with Nuby to review and giveaway some great Nuby products with our readers!

One of the best parts of being a Nuby Mommy Blogger is I'll be participating in the Nuby in the Community project. I'll be doing some volunteer work and sharing the Nuby love (and products) with people in need in our community. I'm so excited to share this journey with you guys.

I did not receive any compensation for this post, although as past of this program I may receive samples or products for review.

Baby Tornados

So when I started this whole blogging thing I promised that I wouldn't be "that mom". You know the mom who has perfect a perfect house, a perfect life, perfect kids... the mom who gets up at 4am to jog, makes her kids 3 course meals completly from scratch 7 days a week, has a perfect house where everything is a DIY project that she did herself, who volunteers for 500 orginizations, goes to church 5 times a week all while making sure her 8 children make it dance, gymnastics, soccer and underwater basket weaving... You know that woman who only exists on the Internet. Yep, that's not me.

I'm a stay at home mom to a 3 year old who has "unofficially" been diagnosed as PDD-NOS(an Autism spectrum disorder) and Sensory Processing Disorder as well 13 month old twins. Now that the twins have started walking our house is crazy. There really shouldn't be any way that two little people so tiny and cute can do so much damage, but they can, and they will. Lately they've made it their mission to destroy as much as possible.

I know, you're thinking it can't be that bad right? How much damage can they do in the time it takes to switch over a load of laundry and start another one? That's maybe 8 minutes tops right?

That is just about every stuffed animal they own (normally in the pink basket under the window), all the dress up clothes, most of the laundry from the hamper, and half of the clothing that belongs in the fabric drawers that hold the girls' pajamas, play clothes, underwear etc. They also managed to pull the Christmas stuff for their room out from under the crib. Its amazing that in 5 minutes two little people can create a mess that will take me over an hour to clean. We're considering baby cages...

Mimis for Miracles at Mimi's Cafe {Giveaway}

One of our favorite places to take the kids to eat is at Mimi's Cafe. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is fun, the food is great (we love the carrot bread!) but most importantly Mimi's is known for giving back to the community. For the month of July Mimi's has chosen to support The Children's Miracle Network by offering over $30 in coupons for a $1 minimum donation.

We stopped in for dinner on July 6th for their "Muffins for Miracles" day. Taking 3 kids 3 and under out for dinner is an adventure but the staff was so sweet and accommodating. They kept our bread basket full (our twins LOVE bread)and they even offered to bring out the kids' food first so the babies wouldn't be hungry by the time Zach and I received our food. I love when restaurants bring the kids' food out before the adults because it means that I actually get to eat a warm meal which never happens at home!

Mimi's Cafe wants you to come in, give their food a try, and help The Children's Miracle Network along the way. They've generously offered to give two Life Unexpected readers a $25 gift card! Entering is easy, just use the Rafflecopter widget below.

We received a gift card to Mimi's Cafe to visit their restraunt as part of their Muffins for Miracles program. I received no additional compensation and my opinion was not influenced in any way. Please see our disclosure policy for more details.
